Making time for creativity

Life doesn't often leave space for making things, so we make the space instead.

The Createhood is about making time for creativity in our lives, for the health, emotional and social benefits it brings, and for the simple joy of it. It's a kind space where lovely people can meet and share creative experiences together.

We do a different craft every time – think taster sessions, not fine tuning. Nobody's better than anyone else, we’re all here to enjoy activities together. That's what makes it fun, there's freedom within it and no pressure to be perfect.

A creative space for everyone

People who come to our sessions have shared with me about how they live with anxiety, neurodivergence and other barriers that usually make them hesitate to join in with things — and that they love being here with us.

That matters to me deeply, and personally. I’ve experienced first-hand how important it is that everyone feels equally welcome and equally able to take part, not just technically included. You can read more about how we put that into practice in our inclusion policy.

Affordable, every day crafting

Sessions are priced to stay affordable. As The Createhood grows, it'll grow through new ways of funding it, not by charging you more to be here.

And it is growing. The dream is for Createhood sessions to be running in towns across the country, a strong online community, and ONE BIG MAKE sessions anyone can join from home with whatever they've already got lying around — no extra kit required.
