Inclusion

We believe that creativity loves company, and we love rooms that are designed for everyone to enjoy.

Because when I say that everyone is welcome, this is what I mean.

You are welcome:

  • If you're nervous about coming alone

  • If you'd like to ask questions beforehand about how the session will run

  • If you'd like to arrive early and settle into the room before everyone arrives

  • If you're running late, or need to leave early because life keeps life-ing

  • If you'd like to sit by the door so you can easily step out

  • If you want to take breaks, move around, stretch, or fidget to stay comfortable

  • If you'd like help threading a needle or cutting with scissors

  • If you haven't crafted for years and worry about 'being good'

  • If you're a regular crafter and want to try something new

  • If ideas come easily to you and you want to share them with others

  • If you want to sit by yourself

  • If you'd like me to introduce you to people to sit with

  • If you want to bring your crafty friends with you

  • If you want to wear earplugs or noise-cancelling headphones while you work

  • If you’d rather attend the online sessions from the comfort of your own home

  • If you're younger, or older, or taller, or shorter, or heart-shaped, or different in any way to the other people in the room

  • If you identify as a girl or a boy or a glittery rainbow with pom poms

All of our sessions are fully wheelchair accessible, with facilities designed to make you feel comfortable — not just "we can fit you in here" if you use a different entrance or ask everyone to move.

None of this is a list of empty promises. It's just how it is. And how it should be.

So, whoever you are, however you show up, come in, choose your spot, and let's get creative!

And if there is anything we can do to make your experience more comfortable, relaxing, safer or inclusive, please let me know.
