September’s craft theme is FABRIC and kinusaiga is such a hot trend right now that we couldn’t miss the opportunity to give it a go!
Kinusaiga is the Japanese art form of creating picture designs by tucking fabric into pre-cut grooves on a foam board, completely without sewing. The effect is beautiful and totally unique, as you choose which colour and pattern fabrics you’d like to use.
PLEASE NOTE: This craft uses a very sharp scalpel knife to cut the foam grooves, so please craft with extra care! If you would prefer not to cut the foam yourself or prefer assistance, please let me know and I’ll be happy to help!
This activity was suggested by one of our lovely crafters, so please let us know if there’s anything you’d like to try as we’re always open to ideas!
As always, our ‘meet and make’ sessions are relaxed and welcoming – and the craft is only half the fun, as it’s a lovely way to meet new people and let your mind pause while your hands are busy creating something new.
There’s no pressure, no commitment and no judgement.
Just 90 minutes of craft, chatter, cake (treat yourself!) and kindness.
Sessions are designed for beginners to enjoy, and keen crafters to develop new skills. Full instruction and all materials will be included.
